Finding Team Members

Do I need a team to participate?

It depends on the competition. On the Explore Competitions page, each competition is labeled as either Individual/Team or Team Only.

• Individual/Team: You may participate individually or as part of a team.
• Team Only: You must participate with a team of at least 2 members. Individual entries are not accepted.

What if I can't find a teammate?

We recommend reaching out to classmates, friends, or peers with similar interests to form a team. If you would like to form a team with students from different schools, please email support@algoed.co to request an exception.

Can my team include students from more than one school?

Teams are generally expected to consist of students from the same school. Requests for cross-school teams are considered on a case-by-case basis.

To request approval, please email support@algoed.co before registering with the following information:

• Competition name and division (eg. The Harvard Crimson Global Quiz Bowl - Physics)
• Full names of all team members
• Registered email addresses of all team members
• School information for each team member
